About CromaWrx

Built for the Demands of Professional Production

CromaWrx is a post production services company founded on the belief that great filmmaking deserves great technical support. We work with feature film and television productions to provide the equipment, workflow, and color expertise that bring stories to the screen.

From the first day of principal photography to final delivery, we're invested in the success of every production we work on. Our team combines deep technical knowledge with a genuine love of cinema — because we know that the best post production work is invisible. It serves the story, not itself.

We've built our operation around one principle: the productions we serve should never have to think about us. Equipment should show up right. Dailies should deliver on time. Color should feel like a collaboration, not a correction. That's the CromaWrx standard.

Precision

Every piece of equipment is checked. Every deliverable is verified. We hold ourselves to the same standard whether it's a $200M feature or an independent production.

Reliability

Productions can't afford surprises. When you work with CromaWrx, you get the same dependable service on day one and day ninety of your shoot.

Collaboration

We're not a vendor — we're a partner. We integrate into your production and stay there, adapting to what the project needs at every stage.

Michael Smollin brings more than three decades of experience across live production, feature film, and post production. He began his career in the post production environment, advancing from telecine assistant to dailies colorist and ultimately to final colorist — building a foundation in the craft of color that informs everything CromaWrx does today.

Over the past decade, Michael expanded into on-set dailies, mobile post production, and live broadcasting. As Color Pipeline and Workflow Manager on the Blackmagic Design Burbank Workflow Team, he collaborates with studios, producers, directors of photography, and editors to design and execute the complete journey from set to screen — across commercials, television, and feature films.

Michael has been a key contributor to the emerging field of immersive finishing, working on multiple projects for Meta and contributing to the development of the URSA Immersive Camera and the DaVinci Resolve Immersive Pipeline. He speaks globally on production and post production workflows, sharing expertise built across decades at the intersection of technology and storytelling.

CromaWrx is the direct expression of that experience — purpose-built mobile infrastructure, refined dailies pipelines, and color work grounded in a deep understanding of how productions actually run.
